MES center in Chettuwa got its name from the hospital located in the junction. The center has vegetable shops, bakeries, pharmacies, photo studio, hardware shop, Baikka's meat shop which provide fresh beef and mutton on daily basis to whole area and a police aid post without any policemen.
The aid post was once used by Vadanappilly police to curb the overspeeding limited stop private buses running in the NH-17 route from several parts of the Kerala.
Chettuwa MES centre has all facilities to serve the regular needs of the local people.
