Palakkad: A gas tanker and a lorry collided in a big accident. The accident took place near Thachambara Machamthod on the Palakkad-Kozhikode National Highway. The lorry driver was burnt to death in the tragic accident.
The accident happened around 4:30 in the morning. The tanker's fuel tank ruptured, causing the lorry to catch fire. Within seconds, the lorry driver also died in the blaze.
Meanwhile, it is learned that the tanker was carrying 18 tonnes of cooking gas. The body was charred. The dead driver has not been identified. Fire brigades arrived from various parts of the area and put out the blaze.
